A Message from Principal Ms. Maria Colon

Welcome to the Maplewood Intermediate School Family, which serves students in Grades 3-5 in the South Huntington School District.  The Maplewood faculty and staff are dedicated to ensuring that our learners have every opportunity to be successful as they continue to grow and learn beyond the foundational years. We look to support our students learning inside and outside of the classroom as they begin to experience more of the New York State curriculum and develop their own ideas and learning styles. We look to engage our students in experiences that expand their critical thinking skills and interests as they develop greater knowledge and understanding of the world around them. We look forward to working in partnership with our parents and families, as that is what brings about student successes. Welcome to Maplewood!
